On March 30, the BCIN held an awareness day for Badalona companies on shared value.

“Companies with a purpose” are defined as those companies that respond to the environmental situation of the planet, the community to which they belong, to consumers and clients and in the social sphere.

This response is materialized by measuring the impact of the company in the four large areas described, involving the governance of the company that would constitute the fifth area. The purpose of companies would be to balance financial and non-financial interests when making decisions.

Studies on consumption analysis show data that 21% of consumers choose ethical consumption and this percentage grows year after year. The talent of the new generations also chooses to work in companies with a commitment to the environment, the community, consumers and in the social sphere.

It has become clear that the most complete tool for companies to address this path of being a “company with purpose” is the BCorp movement that provides a vision and evaluation in all areas of the company concerned by the changes to initiate, carry out out or complete. B Corp is a global movement and is present in 78 countries around the world. The B Corp Holistic Impact Assessment Tool is free and available to all businesses.

The company Specialisterne has provided its testimony at the conference based on evaluating its impact in different areas. Specialisterne has explained how his process has been, the dedication and effort put into the improvement that the B Corp seal certification has provided him, entering into the Community of companies that share experience and help each other to improve their impact every day.

ACCIÓ has highlighted the commitment of the administrations in all areas with companies with shared value. ACCIÓ has also highlighted the strategic nature of companies in Badalona to get down to work and the tools available to Catalan companies to facilitate this process.
